JUROR INTELLIGENCE
Not every attorney is willing to go to court to litigate files, but for the few who are, Katella is here to help. Our Private Investigators have developed a system tailored to find essential information on jurors to help you through the trial process.
What is Juror Intelligence?
We research the potential jurors to determine if they fit into your pre-determined “ideal juror” category. As the attorney on the case, you get to decide what the determining factors are for your “ideal juror.”
There are many ways we can go about researching jurors. It can be based on where they live, what they do for work, or what they post on social media. We can factor in voting decisions, litigation history, and more.
Having this information on your jurors allows you to create a linguistic strategy to connect with them on a deeper level. You can adapt your opening and closing statements to appeal to unique connections we uncover on the jurors. You can make changes to your strategy to avoid hot-button issues, or avoid accidentally alienating a juror throughout trial.
When is Intel Collected?
Pre-Selection
During the pre-selection phase of voir dire, you are given a list of potential jurors. Depending on the court, you can have minutes or days before selection. If you have multiple days, you are afforded some time to collect intel.
Post-Selection
The most cost-effective option to gathering tailored juror intelligence is to investigate jurors when they are already selected.
