About Katella

Here to Help.

Katella Investigations began in 2014 to help people.

Years of hard work and determination has made our firm one you will be proud to work with. Our cases come from a few blocks away and across international waters.

With a keen eye for finding what doesn’t belong Katella can go and do what others simply can’t.

An Interview with the Founder/Lead Investigator

  • At face value, it was because I met someone in the industry and I found it intriguing. I start doing it and I realize I’m good at it and I can actually help people.

I think there’s an internal point of view where I’m an underdog, and I have to prove I’m right.

I want to help people who have an issue but no idea how to confront it. I’ve never had any issues going to a door or confronting someone. Ever. But so many people, who are so talented in so many other areas, they lack the confidence to do that. In that way I’m fighting for the underdog.

  • Katella was the first thing in my life where I knew I wasn’t going to give up.

In the beginning, I had spent a year at an agency that I absolutely despised. I knew that if I wanted to be an investigator, this is what I had to do. So I did. I didn’t quit.

I worked for other agencies for a few years. They weren’t bad places, but they had this mentality where it was “we just need people to go in and do the job,” but it wasn’t like that for me. Katella gave me the opportunity to do it my way, and do it well.

When I first started investigating, it was rough. I was driving limos. I would get up at 4am to pick up my first client by 5:30am. I’d do a few trips to the airport, and drive a few clients- then by noon, I would go out to bounty hunt. I was trying to learn from the guys there. I’d finish with that by 4pm, then if I had a surveillance job that night, I’d go out and work that. I did that consistently for about a year. Anything I could do it make it.

Eventually, I had enough money for an office. I went down to the Marietta Square and I started knocking on every attorneys door trying to find space to rent. I knew I wanted to be around lawyers. So, I got my office and I started going door to door handing out cards and putting out fliers.

  • It’s the team that makes it happen.

We go the extra mile, the extra 10 miles. When we seek the truth, we exhaust every possible outlet. I want to get to it. I want to keep trying.

After 10 years, I’m still never bored with it and I want to make a difference. It’s still a rush to see what I get into next. I’m always learning stuff I never had the chance to study. It’s always giving us the chance to be better for our next case.
